          <datacite:description xml:lang="ja" descriptionType="Abstract">本研究では、日本における自立活動の指導の観点からアメリカの障害による学習上及び生活上の困難に対する指導・支援について明らかにすることを目的とした。アメリカでは障害のある子どもの学習上及び生活上の困難に対する指導・支援の基本はIEP によって確定され、特別教育、関連サービスによって展開される。障害に起因する子どものニーズは、日本の自立活動のようにカリキュラムにおける領域等の設定による指導ではなく、教科教育ベースのカリキュラムあるいは代替カリキュラムにおいて機能的スキルを埋め込む形で、そして子どもによっては関連サービスによって充足されるという特徴があることが明らかになった。</datacite:description>
          <datacite:description xml:lang="en" descriptionType="Abstract">This research aims to clarify the approach to instructions and support for learning and life difficulties faced by
children with disabilities in the United States, from the perspective of guidance on self-reliance activities (jiritsu
katsudou) in Japan. In the United States, the foundation for providing guidance and support to children with disabilities
for academic and life challenges is established through the Individualized Education Program (IEP) and is carried out
via special education and related services. It has been identified that the needs of children stemming from disabilities are
not addressed through curriculum domains as is the case in Japanese self-reliance activities but rather is incorporated
into a subject-based curriculum or an alternative curriculum to integrate functional skills. Furthermore, these needs are
sometimes fulfilled through related services that are tailored to the individual child's requirements.</datacite:description>
